Robert Lee Hofmann Jr .... Forever In My Heart & Soul!

My Dearest Brother,

I love you with all my heart & soul!
But oh I am sooo jellous of you!
Only you can understand that!

As I grew older I looked up to you like no other.
You were my friend and my hero.
We are our brother's keeper's
and I thank you for staying with me
through out the years, helping me with the kids
& always being here for us.
I miss your comfort
and the way you made me feel safe.
Being here alone with the children
was pretty scary when you were with Daddy.
And when you came back,
I had a peace of mind,
just because you were here.
Now I am scared again
but I know you are still with me
looking down from Heaven.

I miss you so much!
At night I miss the sound of your tv
coming through the vent,
the way the floor creeked above me
when you walked on it
and most of all the love, support
& encouragement you gave me
to keep going on. You knew,
you read me & pulled me up
when I needed it the most.
You understood how hard this is for me
and was always there to snatch one up
when they needed it
and to love them just the same.
For that I thank you
from the bottom of my heart!
For helping me raise boys to be true men!

I miss your smile & your gentle way's.
I could tell when thing's got to you
but you always handled it with such grace.
Never have you spoke a ill or cruel word
on anyone and you were so giving
when you had it to give
but even after you no longer could,
you still gave 100%
by helping anyway you could.
Fixing things around the house,
giving us rides where we needed to go
& most of all loving us.
When you retired from the police force,
I know your dream after retirment
was to go to Myrtle Beach
and I admire that you so unselfishly
put your own dreams on hold
to go care for Daddy when I asked you to.
How I wish he would have came home
and allowed me to care for him here
but he told me that his heart was heavy
that we had to go through all the pain
& suffering of our sister Ruth
at such a young age and he didn't want the
kids to go through that and not that he didn't
love the kids, he just needed some peace
that he all too well deserved. I couldn't do
anything but respect his wishes
and you my brother I will always admire you
for caring for him like you did.

You were such a good person,
a loving,caring man,
a gracious son, a wonderful big brother,
an awesome uncle and a great friend.

You are in a much better place now,
all your problems have gone away,
but remember we will meet on the other side
one sweet day!

Soar through the air my sweet brother
let your spirit fly free,
with all our guardian angels
where you have earned the right to be.

You are lifted up with grace
and taken high above,
you are showered with peace and protection
but most of all showered with love.

I love you and miss you sooo much!
It has been my pleasure sharing life with you!
Until we meet again my sweet brother,
my comrad, my friend!

Your little sister,
~ Robin Lynn~

Just remember one thing, Robin, Robert was truly a blessed man to have you and your children. It was such a cool thing to catch up on 40 plus years just in a single day and it was as if we never lost touch. My heart and prayers are for you, Robin. Always know where I am, for I am always here for you, no matter what the need. You ever need a shoulder, its here. Youre awesome and so blessed. Teddy Harvill.
